WAA President’s Letter

Dear Valued Members of the Wisconsin Auctioneers Association,

Every day, we have the opportunity to move forward—to grow, to strengthen our industry, and to support one another. As auctioneers, we know that success isn’t just about showing up; it’s about the dedication, passion, and resilience we bring to our craft.

The Wisconsin Auctioneers Association has always been a pillar of integrity and excellence, and that’s because of you—our members. Together, we’ve built a strong foundation that not only supports today’s auctioneers but also creates opportunities for the next generation. And this year, we’re raising the bar even higher!

Our focus will be on expanding opportunities, advocating for our industry, and fostering an even stronger sense of community. But we can’t do it alone. Your voice, your participation, and your commitment make all the difference. When we come together, we don’t just advance our own businesses—we elevate the entire profession.

A heartfelt thank you to those who have already stepped up—serving on committees, mentoring newcomers, and supporting our events. Your contributions are invaluable. And if you’re looking for ways to get more involved, now is the perfect time! Whether by sharing your insights, volunteering, or simply showing up to support a fellow auctioneer, every effort matters.

The road ahead is full of promise, and I have no doubt that together, we’ll accomplish great things. Let’s make this year one to remember—one of growth, opportunity, and success for us all!
I look forward to working alongside you. Here’s to an exciting year ahead!

With gratitude and enthusiasm,
Scott Werlein
President, Wisconsin Auctioneers Association

Oversee and enhance WAA’s marketing efforts, including outreach to prospective members, vendors, and sponsors. Develop promotional materials such as caps, lapel pins, bumper stickers, and other branded merchandise. Promote the auction method of marketing and coordinate efforts like securing a Governor’s Proclamation for National Auctioneers Day. Assist with press releases and media engagement.
