Phillip S. Majerus, 79, peacefully passed on May 11th, 2024, at Kathy Hospice of West Bend. Phil was born on December 5th, 1944, in Fond du Lac to the late Donald Majerus and Marion (Seefeld/Majerus) Timmer. He graduated from Lomira High School in 1962. A short three years later, he married his wife of 59 years, Gail (Sampson) Majerus.Phil lived a fast-paced and adventurous life, sustained by his work ethic, salesmanship, and Diet Sun Drop. His career started in the yard at Kindt Lumber, but he quickly set his sights on becoming a self-made businessman. From watermelons and Christmas trees, to asphalt, gas, radio electronics, deer hunts, and construction cranes. You name it, Phil sold it. All of this paved the way for his true love of John Deere antique tractors, dairy farming, and auctioneering. He also loved his worldwide hunting trips, gator rides around the deer farm, classic western movies, traveling to Disney World with his grandkids, and playing sheepshead at the shop.He was preceded in death by his parents and other extended family. In addition to his wife, Gail (Sampson) Majerus, he was survived by his daughter, Suzie (Majerus) Menzer, and her husband, Ryan; his four grandchildren, Sierra, Riley, Emma, and Logan Menzer; his sister, Deborah (Majerus) Scheunemann, and her husband, Roger; his brother-in-law, Gary Sampson, and his wife, Joan; his sister-in-law, Linda (Sampson) Vollmer, and her husband, David; and other extended family.

The family will be having a private burial ceremony at Ebenezer Cemetery in Lomira and will host a celebration of life in late summer. The celebration’s date and time will be announced when decided. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Phil with a special gift may send their support to Tabor Global Methodist Church in Eden or The Salvation Army of Fond du Lac. Phil’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Froedtert and Kathy Hospice medical staff. We would like to also acknowledge the numerous people who transported him and came to visit. There are countless friends and family to thank, and they look forward to celebrating Phil’s life with you all.

A Celebration of Life for Phil will be held on Saturday, August 10th from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the South Eden Preserve, N2701 Hilltop Drive Campbellsport, WI 53010.
