The National Auction Association (NAA) is excited to announce the introduction of the Auctioneering Merit Badge, now available in Scouting America’s (formerly Boy Scouts of America) Test Lab. This innovative collaboration has come to life through months of dedicated teamwork between NAA member Christopher Vaughan, NAA Community Cornerstone Chair Naomi Lewis, and the entire NAA team. The Test Lab offers Scouts the chance to explore new, limited-time merit badge opportunities, with the most popular options earning permanent placement in Scouting America’s esteemed merit badge portfolio.

“We’re thrilled to bring the Auctioneering Merit Badge to life with Scouting America,” said Christopher Vaughan, NAA member. “This merit badge offers Scouts the opportunity to dive into a career path, developing key skills in public speaking, salesmanship, showmanship, and entrepreneurship-just like other merit badges in fields such as architecture, engineering, and medicine.”

Scouting America’s Test Lab allows young Scouts to experience diverse and dynamic programs, and the Auctioneering Merit Badge is no exception. Scouts can now explore the exciting world of auctioneering, gaining hands-on experience and learning the vital skills that could propel them into a future career.

The NAA encourages Scouts, families, and the entire Scouting community to check out this groundbreaking opportunity. Let’s work together to ensure that the Auctioneering Merit Badge becomes a permanent fixture in the Scouting America program, empowering generations of Scouts to develop important life skills through the art of auctioneering.
