Luke Gerard Peters Obituary

Luke Gerard Peters, 64, Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away Monday evening, July 28, 2025, surrounded by his wife and children. He was born on March 16, 1961, in New Franken, Wisconsin. Luke was the son of Norman A. and Dolores A. (DeGrand) Peters, the third child of their four children. From a young age, Luke developed a deep appreciation for farming-a passion that would shape his strong work ethic and connection to the land throughout his life. In the late 1980’s Luke operated Peters Livestock Trucking where local farmers trusted him with delivery of their animals. In 1997, Luke found his calling as an auctioneer. With his natural charisma and unmistakable gift of gab, he brought energy and enthusiasm to every sale! His voice became a familiar and welcomed sound at auctions across the region with Mueller Auction Service and Deterville Auction Sales. He was often heard sharing the talents of his voice and donating his time at Denmark FFA, Mishicot FFA, Woodside Lutheran Home, along with various church auctions. In addition to his work as an auctioneer, Luke also drove semi-trucks for U.P. Special Delivery and FedEx Freight, where he was known for his reliability and dedication. In 2011 Luke married his soul mate, Grace. Together they enjoyed traveling, raising animals and tending to their large garden. Their love was evident in how they cared for each other. Luke was a man who believed in hard work and helping others. Willing to lend a hand to a neighbor or offering support to someone in need, he never hesitated to step up. He took pride in everything he did, whether behind the wheel of a truck or tending to his garden, approaching life with determination and generosity. Cherished time was spent with those closest to him and he found joy in their company. His love for family was lived in every aspect of his life.

Survivors include his wife Grace T. Peters; his children Jessica (Tommy) Miller, Jamie (Danielle) Peters, Jodi (Jonathon) Pamperin, and Kyle Menzer (special friend Joseph); ten grandchildren Carter, Briella, Stephanie (Hunter), Tyler, Tanner (Abbi), Leila, Ariana, Owen, Hudson and Kyzer; two great grandchildren; three siblings Kathleen Anderson, Karen (Mark) Bowers, Donald (Diane) Peters; sister in law Lovey Vollrath: special niece Jennifer (Jason) DeBauche; many other relatives further survive in the Philippines, Australia and Germany.

Friends may call 1:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg. Closing prayer service at 5:00 pm with Deacon Bob Miller.
