We would like to say congratulations to WAA members Scott Werlein and Mark Oberholtzer!

Top auctioneers from 8 different states battled for the regional crown at the 2019 Greater Midwest Livestock Auctioneer Championship on February 11th in Rugby, ND. Mark Oberholtzer from Loyal, WI, and Scott Werlein from Mondovi, WI, both won awards for finishing in the top ten!

The contest was originally the Tri-State Auction Competition and consisted of North Dakota, Minnesota, and South Dakota. It has expanded over the years to the Greater Midwest. It rotates among six states now: North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska. Although the competition rotates sites in 6 midwestern states, contestants from all over the United States and Canada are welcome to participate
