TOWN OF BELOIT — The exterior walls are finally up for the new Beloit Auction & Realty building, the biggest building project in the Town of Beloit since the new fire station/town hall.
The 55,000-square-foot project is going up on what was the site of the old Hanson’s Bar and Grill. Beloit Auction bought the property at 615 Cranston Road in March 2024, tore down the former bar and restaurant, which dated back to 1897, and then broke ground this April on the new building.
Angus-Young of Janesville designed the building and Klobucar Construction of Beloit is the general contractor. The building permit estimated the construction cost at $7.9 million.
David Allen, who bought Beloit Auction from Richard and Pat Ranft in 2023, said he doesn’t have an exact timeline of when the building will be ready to be occupied, but they are aiming for the first quarter of 2026.
