Deepest condolences to Board Member Matt Gavin

The Wisconsin Auctioneers Association extends our deepest condolences to Board Member Matt Gavin on the sudden loss of his partner, Jennifer McCluskey. Our hearts are with Matt and Jennifer’s family, especially her two young boys, during this unimaginable time. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this profound loss.

Jennifer “Jen” E. McCluskey Obituary

Jennifer Elizabeth “Jen” McCluskey, age 38, of LaValle, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center. She was born on April 21, 1987 in Reedsburg, WI, the daughter of Shane and Margaret “Maggie” (Brown) McCluskey.

Jen was a 2005 graduate of Weston High School. She also attended UW-LaCrosse and UW-Richland. Jen was employed as the Branch Manager at WCCU in Reedsburg. She was active with the Reedsburg Chamber of Commerce, served as treasurer for Christmas in the Park, and volunteered at the Reedsburg Area United Fund Radio Auction, and the Sauk County Fair meat animal sale. She loved being outdoors; especially hiking and boating, and spending family time on the ridge at the McCluskey family farm. Above all, her greatest joys were her sons, Seth and Lochlan.

Jen is survived by her partner and soul mate, Matt Gavin; parents, Shane and Maggie McCluskey; her sons, Seth and Lochlan Fry; her brother, Peter McCluskey; dog, Oakley; many aunts and uncles along with other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her dog, Brynn

The Mass of Christian Burial for Jennifer McCluskey will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Loreto. Father Luke Syse will be the officiant. Burial will follow in the Our Lady of the Field Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, and on Wednesday morning from 9:45 until 10:45 AM at the church.
