WAA Member Rodney Freymiller’s mother passed away.
Audrey Rose (Allen) Freymiller, age 91, Woodman, WI passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Divine Rehabilitation & Nursing in Fennimore. She was born on May 30, 1932; the daughter of Ora and Margaret (Stluka) Allen. Audrey grew up on her family farm in Eastman and after graduating from Prairie du Chien High School, she moved to Boscobel. After high school, Audrey worked in the dental office for a short time. She obtained her pilot’s certificate and was very proud of her first time flying a plane. On February 14, 1956, Audrey married the love of her life, Virgil Freymiller, at the Boscobel United Methodist Church. Audrey and Virgil raised 6 children on their farm in rural Woodman. She always had a big vegetable garden and loved being able to grow food for her family. She was a very loving and patient mother and a devoted wife. Audrey was active at Marion church and in the community. She was a member of Royal Neighbors and a 4-H Leader for over 30 years. Audrey was a member of the Ladies Aide at Marion Church, where she also played the organ for many years.
Audrey is survived by her children: Glen (Natalie) Freymiller, Rodney (Faith) Freymiller, Roger Freymiller, Ronald (Kathy) Freymiller, Gordon (Lori) Freymiller, and Nancy (Sean) Pieper; 11 grandchildren: Matthew (Emily) Freymiller, Joshua (Sheri) Freymiller, Dawn Kretschman, Hope Everson (Mike), Randall (Ashley) Freymiller, Megan (Troy) Volden, Kelsey (Kris Ness) Freymiller, Cynthia (Chris) Nothem, Beth (Alex) Mueller, Lance Pieper, and Derek Pieper; 11 great grandchildren: Simon, Quinn, Kara, Connor, Aaron, Alec (Emily), Tyler (Taylor), Morgan, Caleb, Grant, and Clayton; brother and sisters in-law: Eleanore Mae (Jack) Frame, Merle (Doris) Freymiller, and Karen (Preston) Baker; and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; parents, Ora and Margaret Allen; granddaughter, Angela Furuseth; great grandchildren, Aaron and Cameron Kretschman; sister, Gladys (Wirt) Monroe; brother, Gene (Mavis and later, Dee) Allen; mother and father in-law, George and Helen Freymiller; and sister in-law, Iris (Oscar) Wagner.
Visitation
4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, at Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore and again from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church Saturday morning.
