Old Minot fire station in Scituate sells for $585,000 at auction

SCITUATE – In a little over two minutes, in a town mostly devoid of electricity, the old Minot Fire Station in Scituate sold for $585,000 at auction on Thursday morning.

Bidding for the old fire station on Mitchell Avenue started at $500,000, with an offer by Martina Alibrandi, of Scituate, who went on to win the auction a minute later.

After paying a 3.2% buyer’s fee to the auctioneer company, JJ Manning Auctioneers of Yarmouth Port, Aldibrand won the auction and will pay a total $603,000. The town of Scituate will get $585,000….
