Jeree Ball Convention Speaker

I am so excited to be a part of this event – the 75th anniversary of the WAA.
In fact, I’m working on some pieces of my presentation on simulcast auctions right this moment! More than a year of research went into this one and I have contributions from HUNDREDS of auction professionals and bidders. I can promise you will learn something you can put right to use in simulcast auctions and you will at least chuckle (and may even laugh out loud)!
The Wisconsin Auctioneers Association (WAA) is celebrating its 75th anniversary by hosting its premier annual convention from January 27-29th at the Hotel Marshfield, marking three-quarters of a century of excellence in the auction industry.
JEREE (AJ) BALL – BIO
You would be hard-pressed to find an auction job AJ has not done in some capacity. In fact, she often challenges class attendees to come up with one. She’s done a LOT, including: cleaning porta-johns and sorting cattle into pens; as well as the usual tasks like working with consignors, cataloging, photographing, promoting, advertising, accounting, grinding, clerking, cashiering, ringing, setting up, breaking down, load out, pick up, and more.
AJ has played a role in thousands of auctions – live, simulcast, virtual, and online-only, for hundreds of different auctioneers all across the country and absolutely loves it. She says she just can’t get enough auction action because there is so much to study and analyze and learn! She averaged about 6.25 auctions a week in 2024.
In addition to all that auction experience, her undergrad degree is in strategic communication – which is like public relations, advertising and corporate communication bundled up with some behavioral sciences in there – those focused on psychology and consumers. Post grad studies include coursework and certificates in conflict resolution, consumer economics, critical thinking, marketing, business analytics, adult education and some others. She has worked professionally as a research journalist and communications consultant for 30 years and even did a stint as a fact-checker but doesn’t want you to hold that against her!
