One of ESPN’s most popular annual events, “ESPN8: The Ocho,” will return to ESPN2 Thursday, August 3 through Saturday, August 5 for 43 hours of unique and groundbreaking programming and sports – many of which are on the cusp of being discovered. Wisconsin State Fair is another huge presence for the WAA. Many members will be assisting with the Governor’s Blue Ribbon Auction. Come show your support and enjoy the State Fair. We will have a gathering at the Case IH coliseum at 1:00pm on the west end at Blue Ribbon Chicken Shack. It would be great to see you there. The Governor's Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction has been supporting Wisconsin youth actively involved in agriculture for 50 years. Our mission is to educate and encourage Wisconsin State Fair youth exhibitors to produce high-quality livestock that will provide wholesome and nutritious products while providing a platform for enhancing and strengthening the agriculture community of Wisconsin and fostering a better understanding of the agriculture industry throughout our society.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Meeting of Members of Wisconsin Auctioneers Association will be held on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024, at The Lodge at Mauston, 104 Lodge Lane, Mauston, WI 53948, for the purpose of electing members of the Board of Directors and transacting such other business as may properly come before the Meeting. The annual meeting for the purpose of electing directors and the transaction of such other business as may come before the meeting shall be held during the annual convention each year at such time and place as the Board may determine. Each auctioneer member who has paid dues and is otherwise in good standing shall have one vote upon each matter submitted to a vote at any meeting of the corporation, annual or special. Each auction company member shall have one vote at any meeting of the Corporation, annual or special, by a designated representative who shall not be one and the same as a voting auctioneer member, i.e. the vote of an auction company cannot be cast by a voting auctioneer member from his/her auction company. Lodging Options: There is a motel in Ontario – the Driftwood INN Local campgrounds – Downtown Ontario Horse Camping – Wildcat Mountain Campground. SCHEDULE Wednesday Evening 5:00 - ? – Meet & Greet for early arrivals at Rivers End Bar for dinner/social hour Thursday 8:00-9:00 – Breakfast at Rivers End 9:30-10:30 – Welcome Speech/Speaker 10:30-11:00 – Wrap up speech/Round Table type discussions amongst members 11:00 – 4:30 – Events (Horseback Riding, Canoeing, Countryside tours, etc) - Members have the choice of what they would like to do. ** Note - If you choose to go horseback riding, you need to bring your own horses. 5:00 - ? – Rivers End for Dinner/Social hour. Followed by a campfire at the VRBO house and a possible musician. Friday 8:30-9:30 – Breakfast at Rivers End 10:00 - Tour of the produce auction in Cashton with Jacob Hills 11:00 – Produce auction starts with members having the chance to engage in selling, ringing, etc.
