Jerry has been a member of the Wisconsin Auctioneers Association since 1973. Jerry has been in the auction, real
estate and appraisal business for over 45 years. In 2011, Jerry was appointed to the Auctioneers Examining Board for the State of Wisconsin and serves as the Chairman of the Board. Jerry was also inducted into the Wisconsin State Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame in 2012.

He is a member of the National Auctioneers Association, Wisconsin Realtors Association and the National Realtors Association, having served as past State Director for the WAA and WRA. Jerry is the owner/broker of Thiel Real Estate and Thiel & Thiel Auctions in Chilton, WI. In its entirety, the business is one of the oldest family owned businesses in the Calumet County area having spanned four generations. In 2019, the Thiel family celebrated 100 years in business.
