Fellow Members

Dec 26, 2023 | WAA Member News

As the end of 2023 fast approaches, I reflect on what a remarkable year it’s been. It’s been a privilege to lead this group following Last Year’s successful Convention, through Day on the Hill, our Summer Events, and Day-to-Day activities where we strive to make the Auction Profession – OUR Profession – the best it can be.

I realize great accomplishments are not done individually; they are done by a great team. I am grateful for each member of our Association. Your dedication, passion and commitment to your work, your fellow association members, and the Auction Industry are a true inspiration.

We are counting the days until 2024. I invite all non-WAA Members to join us. There’s no better time than the present to join a group of individuals that are committed to working together to achieve not only success for themselves and fellow members, but for the industry as a whole.  If we come together and work together, success can be achieved at so many levels.

And what better way to start 2024 than by attending the WAA Convention! Held on January 29, 30 and 31 at The Lodge in Mauston. Three days packed with numerous events giving members the opportunity to connect with one another, socialize and exchange ideas. There are several educational opportunities as well as discussions and decisions to be made that will shape the organization for the next year and beyond.

  • We have (2) required CE Classes included in the convention.
  • Excellent line-up of speakers including Ben Leibl from Kwik Trip, Josh Lowensteiner from NAA discussing Salesmanship, David Taylor with a discussion on AI and Wade Baer from NAA speaking on Advocacy.
  • Multiple Round Table discussions open to all members to discuss topics concerning legislative, regional convention and possible name change for our organization.
  • Q&A Session with the D.O.T
  • Yearly Wisconsin Auctioneer Bid Calling Contest along with a contest for Rookies & Ringman
  • Auxiliary Pie Auction and our induction of the newest recipient into the Hall of Fame
  • And don’t forget our Dinner Banquet where I might have a few other surprises up my sleeve!

It really isn’t an event to be missed! There is a sense of fun that is always on the schedule and the face-to-face interaction with members of your industry is extremely beneficial. We hope to see you January 29, 30 and 31 in Mauston at The Lodge.

Let’s all work all Work Together and make 2024 the most it can be!
