Marie Antoinette’s Diamond Bracelets Sell For More Than $8 Million At Auction

A rare pair of Marie Antoinette’s favorite diamond bracelets that France’s last queen is believed to have smuggled out while imprisoned during the French Revolution sold in Geneva for more than $8 million Tuesday.

The roughly $8.1 million price tag, including hammer fees, shattered auction estimates, which Christies said would likely sell for between $2 million and $4 million.
