2019 WAA Auxiliary Hall of Fame Inductee

Written By: Paul Bunczak

This year’s 2019 WAA Auxiliary Hall of Fame Inductee, Elaine Bunczak from Rosholt, WI, grew up on a small dairy farm in northern Wisconsin.  After high school, she went to college and became a teacher.  Along the way, she met a young man who wanted to be an auctioneer.  Her life has never been the same since then.  They married and had children.  She became an at home mom while her husband built his auction business.

Some days were very long, especially sale day as her husband sold sales as far away as Missouri and Canada, which meant travel in addition to the sale itself.  Still, she kept the home fires burning.

After the children were grown, she began to work in the auction business as a clerk, cashier and sometimes secretary.  She joined the WAA auxiliary and held offices and worked on committees.

The auction business has been good to her and her family with 3 adult children and now 8 grandchildren.
