Lodging Options: There is a motel in Ontario – the Driftwood INN Local campgrounds – Downtown Ontario Horse Camping – Wildcat Mountain Campground. SCHEDULE Wednesday Evening 5:00 - ? – Meet & Greet for early arrivals at Rivers End Bar for dinner/social hour Thursday 8:00-9:00 – Breakfast at Rivers End 9:30-10:30 – Welcome Speech/Speaker 10:30-11:00 – Wrap up speech/Round Table type discussions amongst members 11:00 – 4:30 – Events (Horseback Riding, Canoeing, Countryside tours, etc) - Members have the choice of what they would like to do. ** Note - If you choose to go horseback riding, you need to bring your own horses. 5:00 - ? – Rivers End for Dinner/Social hour. Followed by a campfire at the VRBO house and a possible musician. Friday 8:30-9:30 – Breakfast at Rivers End 10:00 - Tour of the produce auction in Cashton with Jacob Hills 11:00 – Produce auction starts with members having the chance to engage in selling, ringing, etc.
The Governor's Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction has been supporting Wisconsin youth actively involved in agriculture for 50 years.Our mission is to educate and encourage Wisconsin State Fair youth exhibitors to produce high-quality livestock that will provide wholesome and nutritious products while providing a platform for enhancing and strengthening the agriculture community of Wisconsin and fostering a better understanding of the agriculture industry throughout our society.
The 2024 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is being held in Cadott, Wisconsin from August 13 - 15. This is the 70th year the show has been held. It moves around the State of Wisconsin to farms and communities educating attendees in and about agriculture. We are expecting 45,000 people to attend the 3-day show that will feature 500 exhibitors selling products and services to agribusinesses, farmers, rural residents, landowners and more. The show offers a variety of programming that includes: Field Demonstrations for alfalfa and winter wheat Ride 'n Drive opportunities with vehicles Drone Technology demonstrations Equine Area with Arena and Round Pen Events Youth Agriculture Adventure with activities for kids Beef breed displays and handling demonstrations Rural Events Center with local non-profit and commercial displays Progress Pavilion featuring a soil pit and government agency assistance
