Hines Auction Service, Inc

Hines Auction Service, Inc was started in the 1960’s by Colonel Jack Hines of Ellsworth, WI. The business grew year after year. Jack sold everything from farms to machinery to antiques and real estate.

Business continued to grow and the family became ever more involved. Eventually Jack was joined by his son Jeff. Jeff worked on and off with his father for many years and graduated from auction college in 1985.

Jeff finally joined his father full time in the 90s and the business took off. As a team, this father and son duo helped to grow one of the largest auction firms in the Midwest.

Then about 15 years ago, Jeff introduced the world of online auctions to the company, conducting simulcast auctions only. This started small with little auctions, but he saw the potential for an explosion in business and eventually joined Marknet Alliance and started conducting online only auctions. No one could have predicted how fast it would take off. In the first year there were a handful of online auctions and they just kept coming. In 2013 we had over 400 online only auction catalogs.

Hines Auction Service, Inc stands atop the industry with some of the best and continues to grow. MarkNet Alliance takes the best of the best and allows them to network together. So by going with us, you are also going with the best in the industry.

We are also a company that demands that we continue are education every year by attending classes, seminars, conventions and private education. We believe you can never learn enough. That is one reason why Jack has been a teacher for the World Wide College of Auctioneering for over 50 years.

Our auctioneers hold specialized auction designations known as GPPA, AARE, ARC & CAI. The CAI designation is the highest any auctioneer can achieve. It alone takes over 3 years.

We strive for nothing but excellence in every auction we have. We approach every auction as our own and put our reputation on the line. We do all we can to make sure your auction is a real success.
